8/21/2007 Pre Algebra-Welcome & Syllabus

Today, students received books, the class syllabus, and a handout regarding the website. Your son/daughter should be bringing the website handout home to you to be signed and returned to class on Wednesday. This will be worth 5 points. We are on shortened periods for the first two weeks, so we will meet for only 56 minutes. Make sure you bring your notes notebook to class on Wednesday!

8/21/2007 Applied Geometry-Syllabus & Section 1

Today we began class by handing out the syllabus and the informational packet on the website. Together, the students and I went through both packets and I demonstrated how to use the website on the projector.

To begin the first section today, students copied notes from the board, which were mostly definitions. (Point, line and plane, for example). To get some additional instruction regarding the section, click here and click 'Video' next to any of the examples. Students were given a worksheet to complete as an assignment.
