This afternnon we were on shortened periods due to the theacher's inservice at 2 PM. The students took notes over the addition and subtraction rules of real numbers. The homework for Friday has students practicing adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers.

9/12/2007 Algebra 2-Slope
The tests have been graded and are in the computer. The mean score was a 90.2%, the mode was a 94%, and the range of scores was 79-99. Everyone passed, but that is expected when we are reviewing previous concepts. Keep up the good work and carry over your success into future tests.
Students reviewed slope today. They took notes giving different representations of slope, from the formula to graphs. The first part of the video above shows how to use the formula. The assignment will have students estimating slope, finding the slope, comparing steepness and deciding if slopes are parallel or perpendicular. We completed a worksheet in class for practice and then worked on the assignment.
