3/31/2008 Algebra 1 - More Graphing Quadratics

Today we backed up a bit to discuss and do examples of graphing quadratic equations.  We did 6 examples of graphing to add to the notes form before break.

Homework:
p. 505 66-70 all, p. 514 10-24 even
Sketch and graph y = 2x^2 - 5 and y=x^2 + 4x - 4

3/31/2008 Pre Algebra - Solving Equations Review

Today students reviewed the steps that they can take to solve one and two step equations.  They did a worksheet in class, and turned it and the notes in before they left.

3/31/2008 Applied Geometry - Solids

Today we began our study of three dimensional solids. We defined prisms, cylinders, cones and pyramids. Students will be asked to name the parts of these solids (faces, baces, vertices, and edges) as well as name the solids themselves. You can see some of them here:
(prisms, pyramids, cones). To get some additional help on the assigned work, click here.
