11/29/2007 Applied Geometry - Parallelograms
Today's lesson continues with our study of polygons, parallelograms in particular. Our main focus is solving problems that use the five properties of parallelograms.
1) Opposite sides of parallelograms are parallel
2) Opposite sides of parallelograms are congruent
3) Consecutive angles are supplementary
4) Opposite angles are congruent
5) Diagonals bisect one another
Some examples of the problems we will be doing can be viewed here. We will do some example problems together in class on a worksheet.
