10/3/2007 Pre-Algebra-Solving Decimal Equations

Today we will be solving decimal equations. We will be doing the same processes that we did in the previous 2 sections, but dealing with decimals.

Homework:
page 105 #'s 12-35

10/3/07 Algebra 1-Solving Equations with Variables on both sides

Students took notes over example problems on the board and we graded our homework. See some more examples here. Our goal today is to solve equations with variables on both sides of the equation. We will use the same techniques that we used in the previous sections.

Homework:
page 157, #'s 18-40 even.

10/3/2007 Applied Geometry-Angle Relationships in Triangles

Today's focus is on the Triangle Sum Theorem, which states that the interior angles of a triangle add up to be 180 degrees. Our objectives are:

1) Give the Triangle Sum Theorem
2) Give the Third Angle theorem
3) Give the Exterior Angle Theorem
4) Find the measures of interior and exterior angles in a triangle

We completed a worksheet in class for practice, then students worked on our graded assignment. Video demonstrations and step by step solutions can be found here.
