We began class with a review assignment over our previous lesson, which we graded in class. Today's lesson focuses on rates and percents. Our objectives are:1) Find the unit rate given the total cost
2) Find the average speed
3) Convert units of measure given the unit rate
4) Write fractions and decimals as percents
5) Find percentages given a part of the whole
We worked through some example problems on the board, then the class practiced solving these problems on this worksheet.
Homework: p. 183 11-18, 23-27, 33-35
