9/21/2007 Applied Geometry-Writing Equations of Lines

Today we continued with our study of equations and their graphs. We focused on writing equations when given different information. Students will be writing equations of lines when given: a) slope and y-intercept b) slope and point and c) 2 points. Students took notes over examples of each method. The video above shows one of these methods. You can click here for some help with the b) type example.

9/21/2007 Pre Algebra-More Section 3 & Review

It seems as though students need a little more work with our section 3 concepts from Wednesday. Today we will review those. We will do another worksheet for practice today in class. I will not grade the homework that was due for today, I will just count it as practice. The worksheet in class today (Practice B p. 27 #'s 1-20) will be graded and recorded. Students will also do a short review on the Chapter up to this point, page 84 in the book #'s 1-22.
