1/7/2008 Algebra 1-Chapter 6 Refresher

Today we reviewed all that we had previously learned in Chapter 6 up to this point.  Students took some notes over some example problems (solving one-step inequalities, flipping the inequality symbol, solving multi-step inequalities, solving compound inequalities) and then practiced on some problems from the book.  Students will be taking a quiz over these sections on Wednesday, which will be taken as an in-class grade.

Homework:
Review for Wednesday's quiz

1/7/2008 Algebra 2 -Chapter 5 Refresh

Today we we will refresh our Chapter 5 knowledge.  Students will be refreshing their memories on solving quadratic equations, using the the various methods (factoring, using square roots and the quadratic formula) and the various processes involved therein.  I will provide some review problems on the board for notes, then the students will work on some problems in class.  We will have a 'quiz' on Wednesday, but it will only count as an in-class assignment, not a test grade.  To see some additional examples, revisit Chapter 5's post on the blog (here, here, and here)

Homework:
review notes for the Chapter 5 quiz on Wednesday (assignment will be turned in today in class)
