1/5/07 Algebra 1

We began Chapter 6 today, which will focus on inequalities. Today's objectives are:

1) Graph linear inequalities on a number line
2) Solve one-step linear inequalities & graph your solution on a number line
3) Solve multi-step linear inequalities

After working through some examples on the board, students completed a worksheet in class and worked on the assignment.

p. 337-8 #'s 22-54 even & p. 343-4 #'s 6-34 even (skip 14), 37

Today we reviewed the quadratic formula by doing a worksheet involving word problems. Students will be solving problems involving projectile motion or objects in free fall. See a demonstration of the concept here.
