8/27/2007 Applied Geometry-Segments, Midpoints and Segment Addition

Today we reviewed last Thursday's notes on the Segment Additon Postulate and midpoints of segements. As a class we worked through some problems in the book and on a worksheet. There was no homework. We will finish up section 2 and begin with section 3 on Wednesday.

8/27/2007 Pre Algebra-Order of Operations

Today we reviewed our work from last Tuesday and Thursday and graded our assignment from Thursday. We took notes over section 1.3, which deals with the order of operations when evaluating expression with multiple operations. We went through the notes and example probelms together and then students worked on the worksheet, which will be due on Wednesday.

8/27/2007 Algebra 1 - Exponents

Today, we reviewed powers and exponents with students. They took notes giving them definitions and some examples of evaluating exponential expressions involving variables. We did a worksheet in class that was graded and I also collected their notebooks to give them credit for their notes this week.
