3/6 Pre Algebra - Rational and Irrational Numbers

Students were introduced to the idea of rational and irrational numbers today. We have been working with irrational numbers in this chapter, and now we are providing the definition. Students will be classifying numbers as rational or irrational and comparing and ordering rational and irrational numbers. See some examples here.

Homework:
worksheets page 32 & 33 #'s 1-18 on both (turned in today in class)

I also extended the extra credit deadline. The solution (and work) to this problem may be turned in by Thursday for extra credit.

Travis-
Thanks for the question. Take all of the numbers and use a calculator to put them in decimal form. Then you will know how to order them from least to greatest. Be sure to write them in their original form, not as the converted decimals. Keep up the good work!
