Today we continued with Chapter 6 and working with inequalities. We focused on compound inequalities, the 'and' inequality and the 'or' inequality. Our objectives are:
1) Graph compound inequalities on a number line
2) Write compound inequalities
3) Solve compound inequalities
Students completed this worksheet in class (solutions) and then worked on the graded assignment. To see examples of solving compound in equalities, look here.
Homework:
p. 349 #'s 12-34 even & p. 352 1-9 all
*Note-both Algebra 1 classes decided to have weekly note-taking grades. They will be responsible for taking notes on the example problems that we do on the board and we be given a grade at the end of each week. They will also be able to use these on the tests from now on.
