We began class with review from the homework completed after Thursday's test. We graded this and the assignment. Students did an in-class activity on pages 108-109 that modeled addtion of positive and negative numbers. Our 2 rules for the day are:
1) When adding two numbers with the same sign, the answer has that sign.
2) When adding two numbers with different signs, the answer has the sign of the larger number
We practiced this addition in class with 2 worksheets and then worked on a short graded assignment, page 112, #'s 10-28 even and page 116, #'s 6-16 even.
