9/18/06 Algebra 2

Students began class with the Lesson Test from Thursday's Lesson. I took questions over the homework due for today and then they turned them in. We discussed the next section in the book, which dealt with how to represent the solution of a linear inequality. Students will find the y-intercept and slope of the line, as they did in the previous section, and shade the area according to the inequality symbol. Pictured to the left is the solution to y < (3/2)x + 3. Here is another example. I did some examples on the board and students then practiced on their own with a worksheet.

Homework:
pages 111-112 #'s 14-44 even
